Dry white wine, 1 cup
Scallops, 2 lbs
Unsalted butter (3Tbsp+3Tbsp) 6Tbsp
Bread crumbs, ½ cup
Firstly it is necessary that you preheat the oven at 400°F. Now take a pan and place scallops on it. Add in salt and wine and bring the same to a boil by allowing medium heat. Cover the pan and simmer it for another 4minutes. Take a baking dish and place scallops on it. Take a separate container and pour in the reserved liquid.
Melt butter in a pan and add in the onions. Now cook it till the same turns wilted.
Next, sprinkle over flour and add in the reserved liquid over the onion and butter blend. Make sure that you keep whisking till it makes a smooth blend. As the sauce gets thick add it into the baking dish where the scallops are placed. Stir the same.
Now, sprinkle breadcrumbs over scallops and add in the left over butter. Bake the scallops till they turn brown.
