Seafood is a favorite amongst foodies who love to gorge on delicacies that are also healthy. From crabs, lobsters, shrimps and prawns to clams and salmons the list is endless. Recently people are including scallops to the list. Scallops? Are they really tasty? Yes, of course they are delicious and make succulent meals.

How about experimenting tonight’s dinner with scallops? This easy to cook recipe strictly demands superior sea picks. However, bay scallops are also welcome.

Keeping in mind that your well-being is your priority the experts have opined on a baked seafood recipe to cut on your calories. This mushy recipe makes a great dinner meal. Here take a look at baked scallop recipe:

Ingredients

Dry white wine, 1 cup

Scallops, 2 lbs

Unsalted butter (3Tbsp+3Tbsp) 6Tbsp

Salt

Bread crumbs, ½ cup

Preparation

Firstly it is necessary that you preheat the oven at 400°F. Now take a pan and place scallops on it. Add in salt and wine and bring the same to a boil by allowing medium heat. Cover the pan and simmer it for another 4minutes. Take a baking dish and place scallops on it. Take a separate container and pour in the reserved liquid.

Melt butter in a pan and add in the onions. Now cook it till the same turns wilted.

Next, sprinkle over flour and add in the reserved liquid over the onion and butter blend. Make sure that you keep whisking till it makes a smooth blend. As the sauce gets thick add it into the baking dish where the scallops are placed. Stir the same.

Now, sprinkle breadcrumbs over scallops and add in the left over butter. Bake the scallops till they turn brown.
