Make your Guests Drool by Cooking Seafood Delights

Seafood is a favorite among most foodies round the world. Few seafood recipes are easy to cook yet tasty to eat. So, if you have invited a few people over for dinner or snacks, you can impress them by making lip smacking, healthy yet quick to make seafood dishes. For example you can cook them “Grilled Shrimp Cocktail with Yellow Gazpacho Salsa”. For this dish you will require:

Finely chopped yellow bell pepper, 1

Finely chopped and seeded medium sized yellow tomatoes, 4 or 1 pound

Peeled, finely chopped and seeded medium sized cucumber, 1

Fresh chives, minced, 2 tablespoons

Finely chopped small red onion, ½

Finely chopped celery stalk, 1

White wine vinegar, 2 tablespoons

Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon

Lemon juice, 2 tablespoons

Freshly ground pepper, ½ a teaspoon

Few dashes of hot sauce

Salt, ¼ of a teaspoon

Raw, deveined and peeled shrimp, 1 pound

Fresh thyme, minced, 2 tablespoons

Minced garlic cloves, 2

To make the dish first, take a large bowl and combine bell pepper, tomatoes, celery, cucumber, chives, onion, hot sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, lemon juice and pepper. Cover it and chill for twenty minutes or a day. Then, take a medium sized bowl and combine garlic, shrimp and thyme. Cover this and refrigerate for around twenty minutes. Preheat the grill to medium high and grease the grill rack. Cook the shrimp till they turn pink and become firm. Then, serve the shrimp with the salsa in bowls or martini glasses.

If you want to make seafood dishes in a jiffy, you can always make a wonderful recipe called, “Spicy Asian-American Lobster Sandwich”. This dish will be perfect if you have invited your guests for snacks or tea. To make this dish you will need:

2-3 tablespoons of Greek yoghurt (2-4%)

6 ounces of cooked, cooled and chopped, lobster knuckle or claw meat

2-3 tablespoons of Sriracha

2 ea chopped scallions

½ teaspoon of garlic powder

4 slices of toasted rye bread

2-3 leaves of Bibb lettuce

Freshly ground black pepper and salt, as required

To make the sandwich first take a mixing bowl and add sriracha, yogurt, scallions and garlic powder. After these are combined, add the lobster meat, season as per requirement and refrigerate for an hour or two. Before you want to serve, take out the lobster mixture and let it thaw for around thirty minutes. Meanwhile, toast the bread and spread the lobster mix between two slices and top with lettuce for the added crunch. Your guests are bound to love this dish.
